Live Cardinal & COVID-19

Live Cardinal Family and Friends,

The past year and a half have been incredibly challenging for everyone, but especially for the older adults in our lives. At Live Cardinal, the health and wellbeing of those in our care has always been our highest priority. That was put to the test throughout the pandemic as we had to make difficult decisions to truly live out our mission of protecting and caring for our community.

Thankfully, there is light at the end of the tunnel. With the successful rollout of vaccines in our state and a steady decline of COVID-19 cases, we have been fortunate to be able to safely roll back some of our most stringent safety protocols.

In accordance with CDC guidelines and the recommendations provided by the state’s DHS (Department of Human Services), the following changes have been implemented across our buildings:

  • All of our dining rooms are open
  • Group activities have resumed
    • Outside entertainment
    • Church services
    • Wellness activities
  • Bus outings are occurring
  • Visitors are welcome inside our buildings

While all of these updates are extremely exciting, we are most looking forward to inviting guests back onto our campuses. It’s been a long time coming, and we’re sincerely grateful for the patience Live Cardinal families have extended our community throughout the pandemic. Our only request moving forward is that all visitors check-in and wear masks throughout common areas. These small acts will allow us to offer continued flexibility with our residents and staff.

Thank you again for your patience and support. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your building administrator with any questions you may have.

Thank you,

Lisa Sikes
